The following map shows where I was located in 2005. Bagram is north of the Afghan capital, Kabul, and is one of the two main US bases in Afghanistan. If you switch to the satellite view, zoom in, and recenter, you should actually see the runway (just south of the blue marker) around which the base is located.

Finally, this is where I'll be located this time. Again, I'm showing it to you in relation to where Kabul is. You'll also notice that it is pretty much on the border with Pakistan. If you, again, zoom in and recenter, you will see the runway that is part of our FOB (forward operating base), Salerno.
